Join Ms. Sue for Mother Goose on the Loose… on the LAWN!
Mother Goose on the Loose is an award-winning early literacy program for toddlers (ages 2-3) and their grown-ups. It combines music, movement, rhymes, and books to help young children develop language skills, social and emotional skills, general knowledge about the world, and a love of learning.
Every Tuesday on the lawn north of the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library (weather permitting). Please bring a blanket or a towel to sit on.

A lap-sit program best for children under one year and their parents/caregivers to promote language and social development through songs, stories, rhymes, and play.
Talk, sing, read, write, and play with us. Enjoy fun stories, songs, rhymes, and movement in English and Spanish. Best for ages 1-5. Habla, canta, lee, escribe, y juega con nosotros. Disfruta cuentos divertidos, canciones, rimas, y movimiento en inglés y español. Ideal para edades 1-5.
Disfruta de cuentos bilingües, canciones, movimientos, rimas, juegos con los dedos en español y inglés y una manualidad. Este programa está dirigido a niños de 0 a 5 años y sus padres o cuidadores.
Enjoy Bi-lingual stories, songs, movement, rhymes, finger plays in Spanish and English and an activity. This program is aimed for children ages 0 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers.
Join us for a lap-sit program for babies ages 0 to 18 months and their caregivers followed by a Stay-and-Play. We will share songs, lullabies, fingerplays, and board books!
The program is held indoors, in the Blanchard Room and is offered in two-month sessions. Each session is limited to 30 families.
This program is offered by registration only. In addition, all babies must have a Yolo County library account.
The July/August Session is now full. Registration for the September / October Session will open on August 15 at this link.
Join us for a fun bilingual storytime for all ages!
Join us for a fun-filled storytime session filled with stories, interactive activities, songs, rhymes, scarfs, shaky eggs, and lots of giggles. It’s a perfect opportunity for little ones to explore the joy of books and make new friends!

Get the wiggles out at this weekly music and movement program! All families welcome — best for children ages 1-5.
The Library is on the loose in Davis’ beautiful outdoors! Meet us in Westwood Park in West Davis every 1st and 3rd Thursday for a morning of stories and songs. For ages 3-6. Weather (and air quality) permitting.
Please note: the program will be cancelled on extreme heat days (temperatures of 100 degrees or higher).
