Read to a therapy dog! Animals are ideal reading companions. For ages 5-12, in the Children’s Activity Room.
First come, first served. No prior reservations. Sign up for a 10-minute reading slot at the Children’s Desk on the afternoon of the program.

The Yolo Juneteenth Celebration will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the UC Davis Conference Center, 550 Alumni Lane, Davis 95616. A free family event with music, performances, raffles, vendors, exhibits, healing presentations and free parking. There will be a free bus leaving from the West Sacramento Community Center at 10am and returning at 5:30 pm. For more information, see yolojuneteenth.org

Join Ms. Sue for Mother Goose on the Loose… on the LAWN!
Mother Goose on the Loose is an award-winning early literacy program for toddlers (ages 2-3) and their grown-ups. It combines music, movement, rhymes, and books to help young children develop language skills, social and emotional skills, general knowledge about the world, and a love of learning.
Every Tuesday on the lawn north of the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library (weather permitting). Please bring a blanket or a towel to sit on.
