Virtual Programming
The Friends of the Davis Public Library meet bimonthly on the second Tuesday of even numbered months. The purpose of the Friends is to assist the Mary L. Stephens Branch of the Yolo County Library in efforts to raise funds, plan for expansion of physical facilities, develop the library’s book collection, encourage reading programs for children, and to promote the library as a cultural center for the city of Davis.

Interactive story time for speakers of Spanish and English, or both. Stories, songs, movement, rhymes, and fingerplays. All ages are welcome, but storytime is specifically geared to 0-5-year-olds and parents/caregivers. Meets in the Children’s Activity Room.

Read to a therapy dog! Animals are ideal reading companions. For ages 4-12, in the Children’s Activity Room. First come, first serve for one of nine 10-minute slots. No prior reservations.
Children and their caregivers participate in stories, songs, movement, finger-plays, and rhymes. Space is limited – please pick up one ticket per person at the Children’s Desk, starting at 10:45 am. Tickets are required for admission.
Join us for hours of creation, design, and play with Lego Blocks! This is a drop-in program, in the Children’s Activity Room. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to stay and play alongside their children. Not recommended for children under 3.
