Davis Makerspace Drop-in Hours @ Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library - Activity Room

Davis Makerspace is a community workspace for makers and builders, designers and inventors. A small assortment of tools will be available for use and staff or volunteers will be on hand to provide some assistance. Supervised children are welcome. The Library is on the loose in Davis’ beautiful outdoors! Meet us in Westwood Park in West Davis every 1st and 3rd Thursday for a morning of stories and songs. For ages 3-6. Weather (and air quality) permitting.

Please note: the program will be cancelled on extreme heat days (temperatures of 100 degrees or higher).

CASCADA de FLORES presents: Aquí-les va un cuento, or The Treasure of Aquiles @ Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library

A bilingual, participatory and original story told with music, dance and you! Aquiles, a boy whose pueblo is barren of dance, music, and song, sets out on an adventure with his morral (a bag filled with his favorite things). Along the way, he learns to sing from a bee, rhythm from a horse, and to dance from a flea. Aquiles’ morral becomes his treasure: filled with story, song, games and dances which he shares with his pueblo. Come join the adventures of Aquiles! Sing, dance and play with Cascada de Flores.
