The yololab makerspace is inside the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis. It has many tools and technologies for both guided and independent learning.
It is a place for innovation, creativity, and collaboration.
Hours
Mondays: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Tuesdays: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Thursdays: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Registration
- All makerspace participants must have an active Yolo County Library card in good standing and complete a registration packet.
- Teens ages 13-17 can use the makerspace without an adult guardian as long as they have all the signed paperwork on file.
- Children ages 7-12 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- Children 6 and under can only be in the makerspace for library programs or events specifically developed for younger children.

Safety
Makerspace participants are expected to follow the library behavior code and yololab safety guidelines. Staff are on hand to ensure all safety guidelines are followed.

Most tools are available for use on a drop-in basis during open hours. Click on the links below to learn more about the tools and what you need to use them.

Workshops and Repair Cafés
yololab offers hands-on learning experiences, including craft workshops, assistance with basic sewing projects, and repair cafés where volunteers provide tools and can assist with the repair of broken household items like electronics, furniture, and small appliances.
Volunteering
During drop-in makerspace hours at yololab you will find trained volunteers from the Davis Makerspace and the community. Interested in volunteering? Fill out an application and drop it off at the library’s service desk. Please write “yololab” on the application.
