How it Works

    1. Sign up online beginning June 1. Complete your registration at any library branch and pick up your FREE BOOK!
    2. Read and log your reading. ALL READING COUNTS!
    3. Complete fun learning activities to earn badges.
    4. Earn prizes for completing the program.

Prizes

    • EVERYONE who completes the program gets a free book of their choice.
      • Children ages 0-12 who finish also get a reading medal*, certificates for a free kid’s meal at Raising Cane’s and Panda Express, and a voucher good for one free amusement ride at the 2024 Yolo County Fair (*children ages 0-2 can get a tote bag instead of a medal).
      • Teens ages 13-17 who finish also get a reading medal OR a tote bag and a voucher good for one free amusement ride at the 2024 Yolo County Fair.
      • Adults ages 18+ who finish also get a tote bag.
    • BONUS: Finishers can keep reading to earn another FREE book!

Bring your completed gameboard to any library branch by August 15 to get entered into the grand prize drawing and pick up your prizes.*
*while supplies last

The Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Yolo County Library Foundation, the Friends of the Yolo County Library groups, Panda Express, and Raising Cane’s. The Yolo County Fair is a participating partner.
