Read more in 2023

Yolo County Library has a New Year’s resolution for you: Read more broadly in 2023. Taking inspiration from popular online community reading challenges such as Goodreads yearly challenge and Book Riot’s “Read Harder Challenge,” the point of the program is the act of reading, itself.

In its second year, 52: a yearlong reading journey will again offer patrons new and different options to expand their reading horizons through prompts that spark one’s intellect, curiosity, and emotional intelligence throughout the year. As a community, let’s see if we can eclipse the nearly 800 participants who read over 10,000 books during this reading program in 2022.

Starting January 1st, pick up a 52 checklist at your local library branch or sign up on Beanstack to join the program digitally. Beanstack is available on mobile devices through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or can be accessed on the web at https://yolocountylibrary.beanstack.org/reader365.

52: a yearlong reading journey is free and sponsored by the Yolo County Library Foundation and the various Friends of the Library groups. For more information or to sign up, visit your local Yolo County Library branch or: https://yolocountylibrary.org/ycl52 starting January 1st. Connect with Yolo County Library on Facebook at www.facebook.com/yolocountylibrary.org and Instagram at @yolocountylibrary.
