Teen Space: Demolition and construction have been completed, except for shelving being reinstalled. Furniture and additional shelving is on order and due to be installed in August. New furnishings will include study carrels, lounge seating, additional shelves, new flooring and paint, and an updated color palette. The Makerspace will provide a space to create, play, collaborate, and learn. The Young Adult Fiction collection is still available to browse and borrow books from. For the temporary locations of these materials, please ask at the front desk.
Makerspace: Demolition is complete, and only the flooring is left to be completed. The new space will include a variety of equipment and tools, including 3D printers, a laser cutter, sewing machines, soldering irons, and a monitor that can help with teaching and demonstrations. The room will be available for new makers and seasoned pros to experiment with. This is a collaboration with the Davis Makerspace.
