Requirements
The Cricut is a self-service machine that is available on a first-come, first-served basis during makerspace open hours. To use the Cricut, you must:
- Sign and submit the yololab user agreement and liability waiver
- Read the safety guidelines
- Show a makerspace staff member you know how to use the Cricut by completing a basic project
Software and File Creation
Cricut Projects are created in the Cricut Design Space. You can access the Design Space app on a makerspace laptop or download it to your Windows or Mac computer or Android or iOS device. You can import .JPEG, .PNG, .SVG, .DXF, .EPS file types to Design Space, access free files, or purchase files.

What to bring: Any materials you will be cutting, a mug (if using mug press), or fabric (if using heat press) on which you will be transferring your project.
We provide: Transfer Tape, Cricut mats, tools, and a variety of cutting blades, a laptop with the Design Space app.
Acceptable Materials & Use
Only Cricut approved materials may be used with the Cricut. If in doubt, ask a makerspace staff member.
The Cricut may not be used to produce any weapons or anything that violates local, state, or federal law or violates copyright or intellectual property laws. Staff has the right to pause or halt projects that violate policy.
