Yolo Shorts GoPro Workshops and Festival
Starting in September the Yolo County Library is hosting a series of technology workshops at three of its branches. Attendees will learn how to use GoPro Hero 6 cameras, how to edit recordings, and add sound tracks to create a short movie.
GoPro cameras will be available to Yolo County Library cardholders in good standing for limited borrowing between workshop dates. Participating libraries will have computers available to edit recordings on site.
Library cardholders will also have the opportunity to submit an entry into the Yolo Shorts Festival in December. Entries must be no longer than three minutes and only one entry per person. Shorts may be submitted in one of three categories: Animation (stop-motion), Adventure (living local, sports, action), or Art/Drama (music, book/movie re-enactments). Entry forms and guidelines are available at any Yolo County Library branch. Entries will be judged by Library staff and the winners will receive a Best Buy gift card.
