Archives Unbound*: Access primary source material for 296 archival collections covering topics of importance to U.S. and California history.

Career Online High SchoolCareer Online High School (COHS) is an online high school diploma and career certification program available through the Yolo County Library. This is a pilot program offering free enrollment to a limited number of students. Successful graduates will earn a high school diploma and a career certification through an accredited online high school.

Career Preparation*: Prepare for Nursing, Real Estate, Teaching, Military, Emergency Medical, Firefighting, Electrician, Plumbing, Culinary Arts, and other careers. You will need a Yolo County Library card.

Community Colleges: California community colleges can help you achieve your goals. In California, everyone can benefit from a community college education.

Coursera*: A learning platform that offers access to world-class, job-relevant content and credentials from 200+ business, government, and university partners, including Yale, Johns Hopkins, and Google. This program for California residents has a limited number of paid all-access seats available. Available through September 2024.

HelpNow*: offers live tutor access for homework help, skills building, and test preparation.

High School Diploma: Go to high school online and get a career certificate for free on your own time. Prepare for the GED in English or En Espanol using your Yolo County Library card.

Learning Express Library*: Includes Become a Better Reader, Recursos Para Hispanohablantes, U.S. Citizenship preparation, practice tests, and resources on JobEducationCollege, and Computer skills. You will need a Yolo County Library card.

LinkedIn Learning*: Over 16,000 expert-level video tutorials on everything, including C++ Coding training, Excel Essentials, Graphic Design, and Photography. If you want to learn or master a skill, LinkedIn Learning compiles high-quality how-to series put together by some of the most successful industry experts.

The New York Times Online*: Click on the “REDEEM” button only once, then create an account or log in with your email address and password. Northstar Digital Literacy*: Defines basic skills needed to perform tasks on computers and online. Online, self-guided modules assess the ability of individuals to perform tasks based on these skills. Included are basic computer digital literacy standards and modules in three main areas: Essential Computer Skills (Basic Computer Skills, Internet Basics, Using Email, Windows OS, Mac OS); Essential Software Skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs); Using Technology in Daily Life (Social Media, Information Literacy, Career Search Skills, Supporting K-12 Distance Learning, Your Digital Footprint).
